Well the first two months of 2014 have certainly flown by.
I had an adventure yesterday, was flying back from Brisbane to Cloncurry ... well about 15-20 minutes prior to landing, we had to circle due to inclement weather, there was a nasty storm brewing. The pilot circled for approximately 20 minutes, then was told to approach Cloncurry from the west, still no joy, so we were diverted to Mount Isa, landed there, gathered my luggage, haha, I had three bags, a lovely young man assisted me with them.
Had to go to the Qantas counter, and they were working out how to get us back to Cloncurry, mmm, can someone collect you? No, I said. An hour or so passed, then they arranged Maxi Taxt to bring us back to Cloncurry, arrived home at 20.45.
Could not get out to the station as Marathon Creek was across the road, golden rule NEVER drive through water.
Alls well that ends well, was able to get out to the station this morning, saw my pets, checked the fences, yes the fences were washed away, so the five of us, Allan, and the three dogs and me when for a ride on the quad bike.
Fences finally fixed, back into town to do the grocery shopping.
Now I am trying to muster up enough energy to do some sewing, but am feeling a little drained.
Thank you for taking time to stop by. Happy stitching Sharon
