Hello my name is Sharon, I live in outback Queensland Australia. I am a Registered Nurse. A Mum, Grandma, Sister and Aunty.
I have a black cat named Harry Creek, whomis almost two years old, and a Jack Russell puppy, named Poppy, who is almost eight months old.
"Two Bags Full" is hosting the wonderful "Grow Your Blog" party, if you hit the button on my side bar it will take you there, and yoy can visit other bloggers widhing to grow as well.
I have been patchwork and quilting since 2000, in addition I like to knit socks, make golliwogs.
At present I am going through a scrappy stage, love making random patchwork bags, cushions and whatever else tickles my fancy.
To thank you for stopping by I am giving away a "Scrap Bag", the scraps are not itty bitty, most are arround five inches or so, this is to tempt the winner into delving into the world of scrappy patchwork, there will be enough scraps to make a cushion top or a bag. But be warned scrappy is addictive. I will also include a ball of sock yarn, to tempt the winner into sock knitting.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
To to in the running to win, just leave a comment, and your email address so I can contact you. There is no need to follow my blog yo win, but I sure would like you to follow my antics.
Oh the winner will be drawn on 15 February, @ 14.00 hours Brisbane time. I will post anywhere in the world.
Happy stitching
Sharon

ReplyDeleteGood to meet you - I'm visiting from England!
Poppin' in along the blog party route! Nice little stash of scraps you have there. I've not mastered the sock knitting yet...but it is on my "to do" list. However, I can knit a scarf a mile long...and here in New York, we need one to wrap and wrap...and wrap...and wrap to keep us warm! Enjoy the party. Aloha

ReplyDeleteHi Sharon,
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what a Golliwog is? Australia has always sounded like a beautiful place to visit, but I've never left the United States. I love the quilt blocks I looked at today on your site. This blog hoop is wonderful, thank you for sharing part of yourself here.

What lovely quilts you have pieced together. Someday I will finally sit down and try my hand at piecing. For now, I have a couple of quilt tops that my mother wasn't able to finish before she was called to Heaven, so I had to at least learn to hand quilt so I could finish them. I think about my mother and grandmother while I am sewing on them. Makes me feel closer to them.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you. I enjoyed seeing your projects. Would love to win your giveaway. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed visiting your blog. I live in the Pacific Northwest, USA. My favorite quilts are scrappy patchwork and I would so love to use some of your scraps in my current project. New G+ follower.

ReplyDeleteHello from South Carolina in the USA where we are in the middle of a southern winter storm Pax! It is so very nice to get acquainted with your and your lovely blog. I can see that you are as in love with sewing as I am. In addition, I am crazy about crafts of just about every description and must always have one project or another going on.
ReplyDeleteI have had a great time checking things out over here and I do so hope that you and Poppy can find time to "pop" in on my blog to see what is going on!
Welcome to the party! Hope you are enjoying yourself. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with 'scrapping', quilting (better you than me ... can't cut or sew straight ... though I am going to try my best), and knitting!
