A Bright Light

My beautiful daughter, Katie, doing a spot of ear candling in me.
One of our fun moments in my recent stay in the city.

Wating at Townsville airport

This is what I did over the weekend, among  other things ..... cut out 900 plus 2 inch charms for a Portage Stamp Square swap that is open for registration, this is the third or fourth one I am participating in, they are lots of fun. If interested hop on over to "The Curious Quilter".

Next exciting news is, we ha a storm yesterday afternoon, no rain to speak of :(, lots of thunder,  terrified dogs, oh but the smell of the rain on the dust was nice.

I also worked a little on the golly wog quilt,  for my daughter, this quilt is  a major WIP, been at it for probably 8 years.   Here is my little helper Poppy, making sure I place the corner golly wogs correctly.

Triplets

Well not really triplets ..... things come in three's.
This weekend was one of those occasions for me :(
First up, Saturday,  my shoe broke at the beginning of shift, I did some fancy work with suturing thread, so far it is hoding together nicely.
Later that night when I was sleeping, Poppy my Jack Russell puppy, somehow got hold of my glasses and had a nice chew of the bits that go behind my ears, but I filed them with an emery board and they are sort of ok.
Sunday afternoon,  I forgot and left the back tail gate of my car up, drove through the carport and ripped off the windscreen wiper.

Sorry for the whinge,  but I needed to vent.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Happy stitching
Sharon
