Surprises in Today's Post

What a great start to the day, went to check the mail and I had some lovely surprises.

First of all there was a bag from the Secret Tote Bag Swap, my secret partner was Melanie from Thepatchworkrobin,  all the way over in England, here is a photo of the lovely bag she made for  me:-

Next surprise were some blocks, the first ones were from Elizabeth, who made these beautiful ones

Next parcel I opened was from Narelle, she made a rwelve inch one and included a pattern for an armchair caddy to keep all my bits and pieces handy when sewing in a comfy chair.

What a lovely start to the working week.

Possum Magic

Hello

First of all I have joined a group called Possum Magic, we are group of eight from Australia and New Zealand.

We are in a Round Robin Improv, whereby each of us,  make a centre block and then itmis mailed onto the next person to add a border, until all eight of us have added a border, should take almost a year!

Here is my block, it has eighty (80) different fabrics, it is a version of Lurline's Place, scrappy dresden block and the centre of my block is made of nineteen fussy cut hexies, I got the idea for the centre from this site www.unitednotions.com/fp_printemps.pdf.

The 2014 New Quilt Blogger Blog Hop

Yes, it has been a while since I have blogged, unfortunately, work has gotten in the way of blogging and quilting.  It is funny, how work can take hold of us, but I tell myself I go to work to feed my addiction of  fabric and yarn.

Weekend Overview

First of all I hope all the mummas and grandmas had a lovely Mother's Day.

Over the weekend I commenced sewing the Triangle Quilt into rows. Will post a photo in a few days. These were the triangles before sewing commenced

The Quilt along was hosted by The Sassy Quilter.

I also sewed together some more 2 inch charms for my Postage Stamp Quilt. Mary of The Curious Quilter runs a charm swap twice a year, in March and October.  Lots of fun receiving packages from all around the world. Will post a photo soon.

A little knitting and tinking were undertaken on a scarf, called The Vacation Scarf, it is part of the Encouragement Angel Swap over on Knitting Paradise.  Let's hope there  will be no more tinking!
